Soon after, he decides to discover what life is outside the park. He walks along a street when, all of a sudden, he comes across John and Annie!
The two teenagers are crossing a street but they don’t notice a car coming closer. Sparky jumps on to the street, barking as loudly as he can. He pushes Annie and John at the very moment when the car is about to run over them.
Annie realizes that it is Sparky who has saved them and notices that her dog is thin and frightened, signs of the miserable life he has been leading. John can only confess what he had done to Sparky and the reason why he had lied about him: he was jealous of him.
Annie accuses John of her sadness and decides not to see him again. However, Sparky shows his incredible generosity. He moves towards John, showing he has forgiven the boy.
